Pillar brands such as Paul’s, OAK, Ice Break, Tamar Valley Dairy, Vaalia, Kraft, President and Galbani provide Lactalis Australia with a deep national footprint for growth and prosperity.Our OpportunityReporting to the Site Manager, the Quality Manager role will be based in Lidcombe and be responsible for  the development, implementation, monitoring and reporting of all facets of the site Quality system as per BRC version 9.  In this role you will have  overriding authority and responsibility to ensure the site is operating to food safety and HACCP standards and is compliant to the Lactalis standards throughout the entire manufacturing process, from raw materials through to the finished goods and through to release of product to Customers’.Main responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:Oversee Laboratory Site team in controlling quality testing for Microbiological, chemistry (of milk), chemicals handling, CIP cleaning systems validations, plus oversee Physical controlsEnsuring all processes are document and controlled as SOP’s and forms via Document Specialist to ensure high quality products within a proactive site Food Safety Culture planProvide leadership and training on best practices related to GMP standards plus give technical support to site operations for all Quality and Food Safety IssuesPromote and participate in the Safety Management System and develop a proactive safety culture.Be a role model for working safely and promoting a safe working environment.Adhere to safe work procedures / systems in consultation with OH&S Representatives and team membersComply with all relevant environmental legislative requirements.Actively contribute to reducing waste, conserving water and energy and other sustainability initiatives.Comply with environmental management systems.Actively participate in understanding your environmental responsibilities.To be the successful applicant for the Quality Manager you should have:Certificate IV in Food ProcessingDegree or Associate Diploma in Science or Food ScienceMinimum 5 years’ experience in Food Industry or in LaboratoriesExcellent communication skillsYou will be a team player, adaptable, curious with analytical thinking and open minded which will help you to be successful into this job.In return we offer an exciting career challenge for you to make an immediate impact, career growth opportunities, competitive salary package and a team orientated and fast paced work environment committed to succeeding.If you have the ambition, drive and competency to succeed in this significant role please submit your application, including current resume by selecting 'Apply' and following the prompts.No Recruitment Agencies – We have this one covered!Site Quality Manager AUD Lidcombe 2141
