Our Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, this role will be based in Lidcombe and will be responsible for providing technical support and management for all process/mechanical components in addition to process/mechanical support for Continuous Improvement and Capital Engineering Project.

Key Accountabilities

  •  Ensuring technical integrity of the mechanical and process component of Continuous Improvement and Capital Engineering Project work, providing engineering support to all levels within the site
  • Management or integration of all aspects of Mechanical and Process engineering relating to Continuous Improvement and Capital Engineering Project work, ensuring the correct knowledge and resources are
    available, when and where needed, and ensuring that expected outcomes are produced on time, safely and in a cost effective manner
  • Accurately define and/or solve complex Mechanical/Processing
  • Engineering problems where alternatives are not self-evident and the implications of possible solutions have not been considered
  • Planning and conducting Mechanical/Processing engineering for Continuous Improvement and Capital Engineering Project work. Generally working without detailed supervision but with guidance on unusual features, to ensure the correct knowledge and resources are available, when and where needed and ensuing that expected outcomes are produced on time, safely and in a cost effective manner
  • Complete process designs
  • Collaborate with other business units including Quality and Safety, engaging with staff at all levels to promote integrated system procedures
  • Assist in setting and managing budget and performing monthly forecasting
  • Manage the delivery of projects both within time and financial parameters
  • Manage and develop report/s
  • Take ownership of the sites capital program.

To be the successful applicant for the Project Engineer role you should have:

  • Degree in Process, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or
    equivalent
  • Post graduate project management qualifications or relevant
    experience
  • Experience in the Australian Food Industry
  • HAZOP experience (desirable)
  • Competent Excel skills
