 About this Opportunity

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Production Operator to support our  operation. This is a shift work role based in our Darwin site.

The ideal candidate would be focused on safety, quality, likes to learn, shows attention to detail and has the ability to build relationships with colleagues. 

We are looking for someone positive, engaging and committed that likes to learn new things while working in a fast paced environment. 

* To be considered for this position you will preferably have experience as a Production Operator in the food industry and ideally have a forklift driver’s license. 

Some of the main responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: 

  • Basic machine operation
  • Basic operation of a box packer and palletizer
  • Cleaning of equipment 
  • Quality Checks during production times
  • set up of equipment 
  • ordering of stock 
  • follow processes & procedures 
  • Maintain a clean station

At this level, you may need to perform the following tasks or have the following skills:

  • operation of mobile equipment including fork-lifts, hand trolleys and pallet trucks 
  • knowledge of how production operates 
  • Able to make decision and plan ahead
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of GMP

You must have good written and oral communication skills, be self-motivated, have a strong focus on safety, environment and quality and be able to work as part of an effective team.
