Pillar brands such as Paul’s, OAK, Ice Break, Tamar Valley Dairy, Vaalia, President and Galbani provide Lactalis Australia with a deep national footprint for growth and prosperity.Our OpportunityReporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this role is based in Lidcombe.Main responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:Enhance the areas of responsibility by adopting excellence in hygiene, operational and safety standards by focusing on good manufacturing practices including housekeeping, reducing waste, personal hygiene and conformance to procedures.Ensure that relevant documentation relating to the areas of responsibility are maintained to preset standards including completing any corrective actions.Formulation of milk/dairy products according to specificationsCIP cleaning of all equipment to maintain hygiene and quality standards.Sterilisation of plant/processors, tanks/vats and associated linesTesting of product.Assist (where required) in the formulation of recipes.Cleaning dry goods store and mixing rooms associated with the plant.Have knowledge of and assist towards maintaining regulatory, company and quality systems (eg completion of operating logs, downtime recording, CIP testing/recording, log sheers etc).Organise and ordering of ingredients as required.Raw material sampling.Minimise wastage including product, packaging, process inputs, time and chemicals and to report any excessive wastage to the Co-ordinator.Notify Co-ordinator, maintenance and laboratory of defective product or equipment malfunction (depending on situation).Isolate and identify defective product.Record equipment checks and malfunctions when they occur.Ensure that all safety/quality checks are performed as per instructions.Ensure that products for rework are handled and reprocessed according to verbal and written instructions.Meet required production schedules.
