About the OpportunityBased in Clarence Gardens South Australia, a new rare and exciting opportunity is available for a hands on Logistics & Distribution Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the DC Manager this position is responsible for coordinating the day to day operations of the logistics team on shift.With leadership, proactivity and energy you need to make sure that customer service is delivered whilst ensuring safety, quality and efficiency is met. Key accountabilities of the role are:Coordinate the operations of all shifts, including liaising with all appropriate internal and external stakeholders.Coordinate and promote ‘on time and in full’ service in relation to our customer’s needs.Ensure corrective/preventative action is taken in instances of potential under or over-supply of product.Provide an efficient and effective shift hand over by liaising with Production Coordinators. Maintain proactive communication between different departmentsLabour Management (Rosters & payroll support) including casuals to ensure teams have the appropriate workforceProactive Performance Management, ensuring employees adhere to all Lactalis policies and procedures.Facilitate toolbox talks and staff meetings- We promote active communication & trainingEnsure standard reporting systems and records are maintained and completed by the end of shift in all areasEnsure all orders are picked in full and loaded to plan and all trucks are loaded to meet cold room dispatch time.Ensure stock is rotated to support first in first out product flow.Ensure daily checking of codes and receipting of stock in the designated timeframe.Ensure the cold room temperature is controlled to meet the required Lactalis standard.Assist in ensuring the operation performs within the budgetary guidelinesCoordinate all the Quality checks (GMP, processes, procedures, paperwork)Ensure employees adhere to all Lactalis policies and procedures.Maintain a working knowledge of all policies, procedures, practices, and legislative requirements etc., that are applicable to your area of responsibility.About YouExperience in FMCG Distribution is highly advantageousSupervisory experienceAbility to work efficiently and effectively with initiativeStrong decision making and planning abilitiesAttention to detail and highly organisedStrong and active leadership skills to guide, mentor and support staffStrong focus on communication and Customer serviceProactiveContinuous improvement mindsetGood written & verbal communicationIf you strive to work in a fast paced environment within a highly engage team, then this could be your opportunity.Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft OfficeClick on the link to learn more about Lactalis Australia and our journey which has led us to become the World’s No.1 Dairy Company https://lactalis.com.auWe would like to take the opportunity to thank you in advance for applying for this position, however only short-listed candidates will be contacted.
