Pillar brands such as Paul’s, OAK, Ice Break, Jalna, Tamar Valley Dairy, Vaalia, President and Galbani provide Lactalis Australia with a deep national footprint for growth and prosperity.About  the role             Based in our South Brisbane office and reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager your responsibilities will include:Preparation of General Purpose Financial Statements for the Group(s) in accordance with strict timetablesAssistance with management of the statutory audit process, to maximise the use of internal team and external auditor timeEnsure compliance with policy, statutory and accounting standard requirements – monitoring developments in accounting standards, including IFRS and FR GAAPEffective stakeholder management including lending institutions, suppliers and supporting the relationship with both internal and external auditorsMonth-end financial accounting duties including general ledger account reviews, reconciliations and analysis for multiple entities including those domiciled in different national jurisdictionsEfficient, accurate and timely completion of the multiple entity group consolidation reporting package for review by Lactalis Headquarters in FranceMonitor entries and processes to ensure appropriate controls exist for accuracy of financial informationProvision of accounting support to various corporate functions as requiredAbout YouYou are an ambitious, dedicated individual who is energetic, proactive and accountable. About  the role            

Based in our South Brisbane office and reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of General Purpose Financial Statements for the Group(s) in accordance with strict timetables
  • Assistance with management of the statutory audit process, to maximise the use of internal team and external auditor time
  • Ensure compliance with policy, statutory and accounting standard requirements – monitoring developments in accounting standards, including IFRS and FR GAAP
  • Effective stakeholder management including lending institutions, suppliers and supporting the relationship with both internal and external auditors
  • Month-end financial accounting duties including general ledger account reviews, reconciliations and analysis for multiple entities including those domiciled in different national jurisdictions
  • Efficient, accurate and timely completion of the multiple entity group consolidation reporting package for review by Lactalis Headquarters in France
  • Monitor entries and processes to ensure appropriate controls exist for accuracy of financial information
  • Provision of accounting support to various corporate functions as required

About You

  • You are an ambitious, dedicated individual who is energetic, proactive and accountable. Your ability to build relationships, solve problems and achieve results will only add to your success
  • You have audit experience ideally obtained from a background in big four or mid-tier audit firm
  • You pride yourself on your attention to detail and exceptional technical skills

Mandatory requirements

  • You will be a qualified accountant (CA/CPA).
  • You will be able to demonstrate your knowledge in the Application of Australian Accounting Standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Desirable

  • Experience with SAP and/or Hyperion ERP
  • Past exposure to cross functional finance projects, integrated accounting systems and continuous improvement initiatives will be highly regarded
