About our role:
A rare and exciting opportunity has emerged for an experienced Talent, Learning & Development Manager to join our team and lead the full spectrum of talent, learning and development initiatives across our Australian business. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping our people strategy, strengthening our talent pipeline, and building a culture where our people can thrive while delivering exceptional business performance.
As the organisation’s lead for Talent and Learning, you will design and deliver strategies that support our long-term business plan (LTP) while ensuring we attract, develop, and retain exceptional talent. You will partner closely with senior leaders, HR Business Partners, and global Lactalis stakeholders to drive impactful talent programs, learning solutions, and cultural initiatives.
This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution—ideal for someone who enjoys both shaping the big picture and delivering meaningful outcomes on the ground.
Key responsibilities
· Lead the Talent & Learning strategy aligned to the business LTP.
· Oversee end‑to‑end talent management, including leadership development, coaching, onboarding, and culture initiatives in conjunction with business partners.
· Develop and execute talent acquisition, attraction, and retention strategies to meet the needs of the business.
· Manage talent review processes and translate insights into annual learning plans.
· Partner with Compensation & Reward on performance and remuneration cycles.
· Lead early‑career and retiree workforce programs, including internships and apprenticeships.
· Act as the key liaison with Lactalis Group & Zone for global talent programs.
· Implement systems to centralise development data and identify learning trends.
· Drive Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives.
· Manage the Engagement Survey and support leaders with action planning.
· Oversee the Training budget and deliver integrated L&D solutions.
· Develop and implement an HR Competency & Skills Matrix.
About you:
· Bachelor’s degree in HR, Education, Manufacturing, or related field.
· 5–7 years’ experience in Talent, L&D, or HR.
· Strong skills in recruitment, talent mapping, succession planning, and L&D design.
· Excellent communication, stakeholder influence, and strategic thinking.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes.
