Pillar brands such as Paul’s, OAK, Ice Break, Tamar Valley Dairy, Vaalia, President and Galbani provide Lactalis Australia with a deep national footprint for growth and prosperity.About the RoleLocated at our Longwarry site, you will be responsible for observing, checking, testing and recording duties of our equipment related to chemical treatment systems and boilers, ensuring their efficient and safe operation.Responsibilities include:Daily boiler water sampling and testing, utilities readings, boilers manual blowdown / draining, checking and recording.Operate and Maintain DAF and Wastewater Treatment Plant.Weekly pond dynamics and chemical levels. Coordinate Nalco for system checksMaintenance of TDS blowdowns. Reporting of any abnormal problems Project work as required.Assist in the training of new staff and or functions when required.Pro-actively seek continuous improvement opportunities within the business.Promote and participate in the Safety Management System and develop a proactive safety culture.About you:Tertiary (TAFE or University) qualification in Mechanical Fitter, or related fields (desired)Proven field service experience in a similar technical role - must have a mechanical aptitude and experience using a wide range of hand toolsIndustrial experience and knowledge - FMCGExcellent numeracy & literary skillsImpeccable attention to detailThe ability to plan and organise work To work independently or as part of a teamOur story:Ours is a STORY of a family business created by the Besnier Family in 1933 and is today the worlds’ No. 1 dairy company. About the Role

Located at our Longwarry site, you will be responsible for observing, checking, testing and recording duties of our equipment related to chemical treatment systems and boilers, ensuring their efficient and safe operation.

  • Weekly pond dynamics and chemical levels. Coordinate Nalco for system checks
  • Maintenance of TDS blowdowns. 
  • Reporting of any abnormal problems 
  • Project work as required.
  • Assist in the training of new staff and or functions when required.

About you:

  • Tertiary (TAFE or University) qualification in Mechanical Fitter, or related fields (desired)

  • Industrial experience and knowledge - FMCG
  • Excellent numeracy & literary skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • The ability to plan and organise work 
  • To work independently or as part of a team
