Pillar brands such as Paul’s, OAK, Ice Break, Tamar Valley Dairy, Vaalia, President and Galbani provide Lactalis Australia with a deep national footprint for growth and prosperity.About this opportunity This Senior Engineer position is primarily responsible to manage and lead the capital program for two manufacturing sites in line with the Long-Term capital development plan.As a key Engineering resource in the cheese business unit, it is also expected that the Senior Project Engineer participates in the continuous improvement plan and provide technical support for maintenance where assistance is needed.Key ResponsibilitiesYou will manage and lead the Cheese business unit CAPEX projects and participate in Continuous Improvement as well as providing engineering support to all levels within the cheese business.Management and integration of all Mechanical and Process Engineering with a strong focus on CAPEX and Continuous Improvement ensuring knowledge and resources are available to meet project deadlines.Manage and ensure that all project budgets and expected outcomes are adhered to and delivered on time and to schedule.Plan, manage, execute and commission CAPEX Projects, budget management and scope of works. Including leading a team and external contractors, delegating duties and managing performance and expectations.Identify and solve mechanical, process, electrical or automation problems for existing and new facilities.Participate in design/ HAZOP reviews to ensure robust solutions are provided.Managing mechanical and process activities on site for installation, commissioning and performance testing.Coordinating the support of electrical and automation activities including documentation and specifications.Ensuring all designs are implemented to comply with Australian Standard Code of Practice, site requirements and other local council regulatory requirements.Increase the site operation effectiveness, improve on project delivery, mean time between failure and downtime reduction, and manage and implement improvement plans.You will have experience in managing external contractors, internal and external stakeholders as well as mentoring and guiding junior engineers. Be able to build collaborative relationships with your team and stakeholders, both internal and external to the business. You will take pride and be committed to delivering high quality work at all times.Ideally you will have:Tertiary qualification in Process, Mechanical or Mechatronics EngineeringPost graduate project management qualifications (desirable)Dairy Industry Experience. About this opportunity
