Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader you will be responsible for overseeing payroll operations with accuracy, mentoring and supporting payroll officers in their growth. Contributing to the enhancement of the payroll processes and procedure to improve efficiency. A key aspect of this position is the development of strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. This role is well-suited for a detail-oriented professional committed to continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:Oversee and accurately process weekly and monthly payroll within required timeframesMaintain payroll records and assist with audits and reporting as requiredEnsure compliance with relevant legislation, modern awards, Lactalis enterprise agreements and Lactalis policiesManage a workforce consisting of full-time, part-time, and casual employees, ensuring proper payroll classifications and paymentsProcess and ensure payroll related compliance including superannuation, payroll tax and fair work obligations.  Calculate and process termination entitlements and other adhoc manual calculationsIdentify opportunities to improve and automate payroll processes for great efficiency and accuracyOffer ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to the team of payroll specialists on complex payroll related queries. Review and audit payroll records and transactions processed by payroll specialists to ensure accuracy Serve as a point of contact for payroll-related matters including leave entitlements, tax deductions, and salary packaging options Maintain organisational structure changes in SAP HR ABOUT YOU:A successful candidate for this role is someone who can demonstrate a balance of positive, value-adding behaviour and outstanding results.
