About the RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Manager to join our busy Nambour team. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for planning and directing the daily management and coordination of the site’s Quality Assurance function, ensuring the site achieves the highest possible product quality, and food safety standards to comply with all external / customer certification standards and applicable legislative requirements.Key Responsibilities include:Proactively assess, determine, negotiate and agree on in-house quality procedures, standards and specifications based on all legislative, BRC, SQF/FSSC22000, GMP, HACCP and customer requirementsRegularly review the company’s Food Safety Programs to ensure accurate reflection of legislative and customer requirementsImplementation of Lactalis Group methodologies, to ensure consistency of the quality procedures and policies considering the recent acquisitionCollaborate with the Production Team to define, implement and embed QA procedures, standards and systemsSpecify raw material quality requirements for suppliersActively oversee the company’s Food Safety and GMP audit program, ensuring resourcing is directed towards audit and remediation activity to facilitate full compliance and customer standardsEnsure that the Nambour business complies with QA policies, procedures and standards at all timesProactively manage all third-party audits to ensure that appropriate remediation activity is specified for each non-conformance identified and that all agreed remediation deadlines are achievedManage the testing schedule for products, equipment and utilities and promptly investigate and action out of specification resultsProactively manage, and support the training and development of QC, QA and Hygiene teamsPrepare detailed reports for management and customers that detail QA audit activity, results and remediation’s, areas of particular QA attention, key projects etc. (as applicable)Accurately maintain the QA database and filing systems Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all non-conformances and remediationAbout YouDemonstrate strong working knowledge of management systems and compliance obligations, preferably in a food production environmentAnalytical, problem solving and technical skills to support the development and implementation of Quality policies, processes and programsStrong interpersonal skills to support and build relationships with key stakeholdersAbility to manage time and priorities in a fast paced environmentAt least 5 years’ experience in Quality Management within dairy is highly regarded;A Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Quality Management or related fields is preferredSAP experience in managing quality data is highly regarded.If you have the ambition, drive and competency to succeed in this role please submit your application by selecting Apply and following the prompts.Our story:Ours is a STORY of a family business created by the Besnier Family in 1933 and is today the worlds’ No. 1 dairy company. About the Role

  • Ensure that the Nambour business complies with QA policies, procedures and standards at all times

About You

  • Demonstrate strong working knowledge of management systems and compliance obligations, preferably in a food production environment
  • Analytical, problem solving and technical skills to support the development and implementation of Quality policies, processes and programs
  • Strong interpersonal skills to support and build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ability to manage time and priorities in a fast paced environment
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Quality Management within dairy is highly regarded;
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Quality Management or related fields is preferred
  • SAP experience in managing quality data is highly regarded.
