The National Injury Management Advisor role plays a key part in supporting injured employees and partnering with leaders to deliver effective injury management and return-to-work outcomes across Australia. Working within the Health, Safety & Wellbeing team, the position is responsible for managing workplace injuries from initial notification through to successful recovery, balancing employee wellbeing, legislative compliance and operational outcomes. 

Reporting to the National Injury Management & Workers Compensation Manager, the role works closely with employees, internal stakeholder, insurers and rehabilitation providers to drive early intervention strategies, coordinate recovery plans and facilitate safe, sustainable return-to-work.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage workplace injury, return-to-work and workers compensation cases from initial notification through to successful resolution.
• Drive early intervention strategies and coordinate recovery and return-to-work plans to achieve sustainable outcomes.
• Partner with employees, people leaders, treating practitioners, rehabilitation providers and insurers throughout the injury management process.
• Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on injury management, return-to-work obligations and workplace adjustments.
• Ensure legislative compliance, accurate case management documentation and effective claims administration across multiple jurisdictions.
• Contribute to injury management initiatives, continuous improvement activities and broader health, safety and wellbeing objectives.

About You

The successful candidate will bring a strong blend of injury management expertise, stakeholder engagement capability and commercial acumen, with the ability to influence outcomes and build trusted relationships across a diverse national workforce.

• Experience in injury management, workers compensation, rehabilitation or return-to-work coordination.
• Strong knowledge of workers compensation legislation and injury management best practice.
• Proven experience managing complex cases and delivering successful recovery and return-to-work outcomes.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
• A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach, with a strong commitment to employee wellbeing.
• RTW Coordinator accreditation or a relevant qualification in Allied Health, Rehabilitation, Nursing or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
