Mechanical Fitter – Lidcombe

This position is responsible for performing mechanical work to ensure all plant remains in good working order. Ensuring mechanical maintenance functions including breakdown, preventative and project works are completed efficiently, in a professional manager whilst maintaining a safe and hygienic working environment. Enhance the areas of responsibility by adopting excellence in hygiene, operational and safety standards by focussing on good manufacturing practices including housekeeping, reducing waste, personal hygiene and conformance to procedures.Ensure that relevant documentation relating to the areas of responsibility are maintained to present standards.Partake in Preventative Maintenance program in order to achieve world class machine and line efficiency.Log and complete all work in the maintenance system as listed on the work schedule.Read pneumatic schematics and fault find in a safe and efficient manner and make modifications as required.Weld all materials using Oxy, Tig, Mig.Investigate failures and provide recommendation of improvements to reduce the risk of occurrence.Work unsupervised on shift and make decisions in order to promote efficiency.Ensure that all safety checks are performed as per instructions.Carry out preventative maintenance tasks to ensure machine efficiency.
