Maintenance Technician (Electrical or Mechanical)

About this OpportunityReporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, your primary responsibilities will be to carry out preventative, continuous improvement and breakdown maintenance, across a fast-paced production facility. Initially this will be a Monday to Friday role (with some weekend work) however with increased production on the horizon this role will transition to 12hr shifts over a 7-day fortnight.Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Carrying out Preventative Maintenance programs for the processing, packaging, cooling & heating systems Contribute to the preventative maintenance system development.Responding to breakdowns in a timely manner to minimise downtime.Performing scheduled and ad-hoc safety checks as per instructions;Investigating failures and making recommendations to reduce risk and improve systems/processes; General maintenance within a factory environment, filling machines, packaging equipment, boilers, blow moulding machines, refrigeration systems and Building/facilities. About You

To succeed in this role the following knowledge and skills are required:

  • Trade Qualification in either Electrical or Mechanical
  • South Australian A Class Electrical Licence or equivalent essential for Electrician role
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Previous Dairy or Beverage experience highly regarded
