We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a skilled and knowledgeable Laboratory Technician to join our team in Griffith (NSW 2680). Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for laboratory-based tasks, which include sampling, testing, measuring, recording and analysing results in raw materials and finished products. You will display an analytical and methodical approach to problem solving and be dedication to getting it right first time.Responsibilities include:Chemical and bacteriological analyses of in-line finished product and raw materials.Ensure prompt and accurate test results are completed as outlined in the laboratory manual and communicated to all stakeholders.Ensuring the provision of an efficient and reliable testing service in accordance with approved methods.Maintain equipment calibration schedules and ensure housekeeping and safety standards are adhered to at all times.Periodically review laboratory performance against a defined set of measures. They shall be based on but not limited to, calibration and testing accuracy, result traceability, customer service, budget compliance and continuous improvement incorporating corrective and preventative action.Environmental monitoring and sampling as required.Receive, check and store all consumables for the laboratory and undertake other duties as required.About you:Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology or similar is highly desirable.Previous experience in a laboratory/testing supporting a food manufacturing operations.Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).A working knowledge of HACCP and OH&S is desirable but not essential.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.Excellent attention to detail.Our story:Ours is a STORY of a family business created by the Besnier Family in 1933 and is today the worlds’ No. 1 dairy company.
