Pillar brands such as Paul’s, OAK, Ice Break, Tamar Valley Dairy, Vaalia, President and Galbani provide Lactalis Australia with a deep national footprint for growth and prosperity.About the OpportunityWe have had an exciting opportunity become available for a Tax Accountant to join our tax team.  Reporting to the Tax Manager, you will be energetic and dynamic!  You will be required to work with a degree of autonomy and be able to multi-task and prioritise your workload.You will be responsible for:Preparation of income tax, FBT and GST returns, and supporting workpapers for Australian entities and our international subsidiaries;Preparation of tax-effect accounting workpapers, and associated group reporting schedules;Responsible for ensuring accurate posting of tax journals to the ledger;Liaising with Fixed Asset Officer to ensure accuracy of Tax Fixed Asset Registers;Providing assistance to the Lactalis Group in Australia as and when required;Preparation of Transfer Pricing documentation, the local file for Country by Country reporting compliance, and supporting workpapers;Assisting with the preparation of R&D claims;Assisting with budgeting and forecasting as it relates to the tax function;Supporting the Taxation Manager in M&A and restructuring matters;Assistance to Taxation Manager in ensuring Lactalis remains compliant with cross-border issues;Assisting the Taxation Manager in relation to any reviews undertaken by Revenue Authorities;Advising business in relation to various taxation matters on an adhoc basis, including indirect taxes such as GST, Payroll Tax and Fuel Tax;Assist with training and raising awareness of tax-related matters in the business.To be successful in this role, it would be expected that you have: 4 to 5 years’ experience in a professional firm (preferably Big 4 or second tier firm) or equivalent experience in commerce;CA / CPA qualification or Master of Taxation, or be working towards completing this qualification;Bachelor Degree in Accounting (or equivalent);Extensive knowledge and experience in the management of corporate tax and the Australian Tax regime;Knowledge of international taxation including transfer pricing, and the management of inbound/outbound mobility matters;Skill in use of income tax and FBT return preparation software, and CbC local file preparation software;Strong technical research and Excel skillsYou will be a strong communicator, be willing to work collaboratively within a team, and proactively involve yourself in process improvements or innovations relating to both the tax function and the wider business.If you have the ambition, drive and competency to succeed in this role and wish to join an impressive global business and be part of a healthy working environment, please submit your application including current resume by selecting 'Apply' and following the prompts.No Recruitment Agencies – We have this one covered!
