This position is a full-time fixed term 12 month contract working on a shift roster rotation (weekend work required).We are looking for a trade qualified Licenced Electrician who has experience working in the food, dairy, manufacturing or a related industry to work on preventive maintenance, breakdowns, instrument calibrations (pressure, temperature and flow), and continuous improvement initiatives.The successful candidate will have an analytical and methodical approach to problem solving, excellent communication skills and have the ability to foster positive relationships and supportive teamwork. They will be safety focused, flexible and self-motivated with the ability to work closely with other trade disciplines and departments. PLC, SCADA systems and automation experience will be highly regarded.Key accountabilities of the role are:Strong focus on safety and safe working methods including JSAs , Risk Assessments , LOTO and permits to work;Implementing preventative and routine maintenance schedules to achieve machine and line efficiency;Responding to breakdowns in a timely manner to minimise downtime;Monitor and contribute to developing new maintenance schedules for equipment, plant and other relevant data to identify faults and take action as necessary;Performing scheduled and ad-hoc safety checks as per instructions;Investigating failures and making recommendations to reduce risk and improve systems / processes; General maintenance within a factory environment, including blow moulding, filling machines, packaging equipment;Assisting in the development and training of employees as required.
