About our OrganisationHarvey Fresh is owned by the Lactalis Group, the world's largest producer of dairy goods.  With a range of more than 2,000 products, Lactalis is committed to playing a daily role in the health and well-being of consumers throughout the world, via the provision of nutritious dairy products-milk, cheese, yoghurt and other soft foods and beverages.At the heart of our business locally, we have over 2,700 passionate employees, working closely and constructively with some 500 Australian farmers to produce the finest dairy products in the country.Pillar brands such as Harvey Fresh, Paul's, Oak, Ice Break, Tamar Valley Dairy, Vaalia, President and Galbani provide Lactalis Australia with a deep national footprint for growth and prosperity.About this OpportunityReporting to the National Logistics Operations Manager, this role, based Harvey (140km south of Perth) in the beautiful South West of Western Australia, will provide strategic and tactical leadership to the logistics department to ensure our product’s proper supply and distribution in line with agreed service levels and budgetary requirements.The key responsibilities of this role include:Establish, lead & implement the national supply chain systems strategy;Lead the operational & distribution teams, by providing open communication, support and direction to each direct report & engaging with their teams;Oversee the execution of operational activities such as finished products deliveries (optimising loads and routing, respecting agreed service levels & targets); deliveries among production plants, warehouses and depots; relations with logistics partners; proper execution of warehousing activities ( control of inbound & outbound product flows, stock levels inventory balances); managing product returns & company drivers;Identify & implement actions to decrease logistics costs or increase efficiency level; andMonitor performance indicators relating to warehouses/ depots and transportation and prepare related reports.To be successful in the role, you will require:FMCG related logistics experience either at a national or state level;Degree qualifications in Logistics, Business or related field;Strong Commercial and financial acumen;Excellent attention to detail;Contract & legal knowledge;Demonstrated change management capability;Supply chain planning & budget planning & forecasting;Experience & comfortable working in high pressure situations; andExcellent communication & influencing skills.About the BenefitsIn return for your hard work, you'll enjoy a competitive remuneration package, along with a range of outstanding staff benefits.By joining Harvey Fresh, you'll have access to industry leading training and career progression opportunities.
