About this Opportunity
We are looking for a passionate and dynamic leader to join our thriving and successful Transport team based in Scoresby. This is a great opportunity for a supply chain and logistics professional looking to develop their career.
Lactalis Australia has a national transport operations footprint delivering to the length and breadth of Australia. Within a close knit team, this challenging and strategic role will require you to work autonomously to ensure our master transport plan is aligned with business and overall logistics long term objective creating value for Lactalis.
The role will also require you to work closely with internal stakeholders in logistics operations, sales, planning and finance . In a rapidly changing marketplace, you will leverage previous FMCG logistics and commercial experience to develop innovative and proactive plans for our transport team. You will manage key internal relationships and be accountable for a significant part of the company’s future plans.
Ideally you will have:
- Proven experience in logistics / transport operations – or similar
- Understanding of transport network planning desirable
- Highly developed commercial acumen – essential
- Understanding of basic warehouse, transport operations and sales in FMCG
- Demonstrable project management skills
- Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving ability
- Demonstrable use of continuous improvement methodology to re-engineer operating processes
- Basic SAP experience desired, but not essential.
