With knowledge and experience we encourage you to make a difference!Our Opportunity  Reporting to the Team Leader you will be pivotal in delivering IT services to our organisation. You will be highly motivated to succeed, have a genuine sense of urgency in delivering business value/benefits through service delivery and have a passion for great customer service.You will have an opportunity to work in a long term permanent role where you will be an integral part of our company success.Responsibilities:Maintain a standard, stable and robust VMWare and Microsoft Server environment including Exchange, SQL and Active Directory.Provide input into strategies, standards, policies and future planning.Build server operating systems according to pre-defined templates.When required, assess user requirements for new software packages and/or hardware and provide guidance or make recommendation.Assess dependencies, interoperability, compute, security and user requirements for new server-hosted applications.Undertake installation, configuration and documentation of server-hosted applications.Undertake problem diagnoses, correction and escalate support of Microsoft technologies.Provide a professional service by ensuring incidents and service requests are regularly updated and realistic resolution times are provided.Ensure systems are secure from unauthorized access and have the latest security software installed.Take ownership and become responsible for operating system and application security by applying upgrades and security patches in a timely manner.Participate in server upgrades (hardware and software) and other general maintenance tasks.Follow agreed procedures and respond to requests for assistance by providing information to enable users to resolve their problems by following ITIL best practice.Undertake rostered on-call after hours support for Critical and Urgent requests.Relevant skills and experience include:At least 5 years’ experience in an enterprise environment.MCSA, MCSE and/or Diploma in Information Technology highly regarded but not mandatory.Strong knowledge and experience with Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, IIS, AD, Group Policy and other key Microsoft server technologies.Experience with VMWare vCenter/ESXi and x86 server hardware including Veeam backup/recovery solutions.Demonstrated experience in the planning, implementation, management, configuration and maintenance of Microsoft Servers and associated server technologies.Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as Powershell.Understanding of common network protocols, exposure to Wide Area Networks and co-location data centre environments.Solid experience in writing policies, procedures and other support documentation.Experience with support of critical 24x7 systems.Key Success Attributes:Ability to communicate at all levels of an organisationStrong customer service skillsAbility to build relationships and work with peers within the organisation to deliver service levels that meet the needs of the organisation.This is an excellent opportunity to join a market leading global organisation during an exciting time of company growth and success.To Apply please forward your resume to our Talent Acquisition Manager by selecting ‘Apply’ and following the prompts.No Recruitment Agencies – We have this one covered!
