As the R&D Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the R&D function ensuring that Lactalis meets their objectives for researching and developing new products/technologies for new and existing products. You will lead and develop high performing R&D Team Leaders and their teams in respect to innovation, packaging, regulatory and legislative compliance to Food & Packaging Standards. The role is based in Lidcombe.Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Developing, Implementing and Achieving the R&D budget;Overseeing all product launch developments and project teams;Being an integral member of the Industrial Leadership Team (ILT)Leading continuous improvement initiativesManaging product & process innovation from group best practices and determining the right level of resource.Complying with Good Manufacturing Practices and Safety at all timesA direct link to our French Group R&D Team to ensure quality and consistency of processesThe successful candidate will have at least 10 years’ R&D experience in a senior leadership role with extensive industrial experience in a manufacturing/food processing company within the FMCG industry. You will have exemplary communication skills (written/verbal) and relevant tertiary qualifications. Strong coaching, management and leadership skills with a strong knowledge of food safety and food principles.
