With knowledge and experience we encourage you to make a difference!About this OpportunityReporting to the Echuca Site Manager:Managing and leading the site/s CAPEX projects and participating in Continuous Improvement as well as providing engineering support to all levels within the Lactalis business Australia wide.Management and integration all Mechanical and Process Engineering with a strong focus on CAPEX and Continuous Improvement ensuring knowledge and resources are available to meeting project deadlines.Managing and ensuring that all project budgets and expected outcomes are adhered too and delivered on time and to schedule.Planning, managing, executing and commissioning CAPEX Projects, budget management and scope of works. Including leading a team and external contractors, delegating duties and managing performance and expectations.Identifying and solving mechanical, process, electrical or automation problems for existing and new facilitiesParticipating in design reviews to ensure robust solutions are providedManaging mechanical and process activities on site for installation, commissioning and performance testingCoordinating the support of electrical and automation activities including documentation and specificationsEnsuring training and training manuals are available to staff to ensure a successful commissioning for the new projects.Ensuring all designs are implemented comply with Australian Standard Code of Practice, site requirements and other regulatory requirementsIncreasing the site operational effectiveness, improving on project delivery, mean time between failure and downtime reduction, and managing and implementing improvement plans.Implementing and managing continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes.Promoting and participating in the Safety Management System and developing a proactive safety culture.Managing relationships across maintenance support, suppliers, contractors, operations and safetyExperience/Skills Required:Tertiary Qualification in Process, Mechanical and/or Chemical Engineering  Dairy Industry Experience. Knowledge of dairy manufacturing machinery and equipment is essential.Hands on and demonstrated experience working on complex CAPEX and Continuous Improvement Projects from concept to commission.Process Design CapabilityLong term project planningStakeholder engagement, both internal and externalYour ability to build relationships, solve problems and achieve results will only add to your success.
