We now seek a pro-active, team orientated, Mechanical or Electrical Tradesperson to take on the role of Maintenance Facilitator in our Mechanical department at South Brisbane on a 12 month contract. This is an opportunity to utilise both your organisational skills and your ability to develop a team of tradespeople with the goal of continuous improvement in all areas of the factory. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager - Mechanical, your prime responsibility will be the coordination of your team members to effectively carry out both planned and breakdown maintenance and/or project work. Other responsibilities include; ensuring all Workplace Health & Safety standards, company policies and good house keeping practices are adhered to, implementing preventative maintenance and continuous improvement procedures to reduce downtime and increase line efficiencies, and providing a safe working environment. Your analytical and methodical approach to problem solving, strong communication skills and demonstrated effective leadership abilities will enable you to succeed in this role. You have the flexibility to work shift work and overtime as required and are self-motivated with the ability to work closely with other trade disciplines. A working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office would be advantageous. This is an exciting opportunity to progress your career with Parmalat in a hands-on leadership role.
