Parmalat is experiencing strong growth and has achieved this through dedicated employees.About the OpportunityWe are now seeking a team-oriented individual, to take up the full time permanent position of Laboratory Technician in our South Brisbane Laboratory team. You must be self-motivated, able to work a seven day shift roster which will include weekends and nights as required. You must also have a strong focus on quality and safety and be able to work as part of an effective team.Your duties will include chemical and bacteriological analyses of in-line and finished product and raw materials. You will ensure prompt and accurate test results are communicated to internal and external customers, both written and oral. You will maintain equipment calibration schedules and ensure housekeeping and safety standards are maintained at all times. You will also receive, check and store all consumables for the laboratory and undertake other duties as required.The successful candidate will hold a Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology or similar, or have previous experience in a laboratory / testing supporting a food manufacturing operation.
