With knowledge and experience we encourage you to make a difference!About the OpportunityLocated in our Rockhampton site, this permanent position will appeal to a highly motivated, experienced Laboratory Coordinator to bring drive and capability to the business. The performance of our 24 hour operation relies heavily on an efficient Laboratory.  The role of the Laboratory Coordinator is therefore pivotal to the success of the operation.Reporting to the Compliance Supervisor your key responsibilities will include (but not limited to):Provide supervision to the Laboratory staff (including managing performance, conduct and behaviour).To provide a timely communication of results of all testing and analysis to internal and external customers.To ensure the provision of an efficient and reliable testing service in accordance with approved methods.Assist where appropriate the implementation of corporate laboratory methods, sampling plans and standardised reporting to the Rockhampton Site.Periodically review laboratory performance against a defined set of measures. They shall be based on but not limited to, calibration and testing accuracy, result traceability, customer service, budget compliance and continuous improvement incorporating corrective and preventative action.Participate in HACCP Audits/Reviews and Internal Audits.The ideal candidate should ideally be tertiary qualified (Degree in Food Science) or have a Certificate IV in Food Processing, with significant experience in the Food industry and Laboratory applications.  Specific knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and HACCP is also required. Well developed interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build effective internal and external relationships is also critical to this position.Parmalat encourages and supports a safe learning environment to give you the opportunity for a successful and rewarding career with us.
