With knowledge and experience we encourage you to make a difference!About the OpportunityWe are now seeking a motivated Assistant Management Accountant to join our Supply Chain Management Control and Performance Team.Reporting to the Finance Manager - Logistics, your main responsibility is to support all Management Accounting Services - Logistics, Franchise / Distribution and Planning functions within our business. You will have experience building rapport with key business partners and able to influence outcomes, as well as be exposed and will work hands on with key stakeholders within all elements of the supply chain, manufacturing and finance processes.Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:Complete Month End Accounting in accordance with the set format and within the set time frame.Provide a summary of Functional Expenditure and significant variances to plans to Business Partners.Assist with providing the appropriate accounting and functional support to managers and their staffAssist management with the preparation of Capital expenditure proposals and evaluations.Assist with the preparation of weekly, monthly reports and KPI’s related to Logistics and Franchise  / Distribution activitiesAnalysis of business trends and issuesPreparation of budget and monthly forecastingReconcile General Ledger Balance Sheet Accounts, including control accounts. Investigate and follow up all outstanding uncleared items.Provide assistance with project work to other accounting staff and management teams.Franchise / Distribution analysis to support decision making and evaluationThe successful candidate will have completed a Tertiary Accounting Qualifications ideally with 2 to 3 years practical work experience within a management accounting environment. If you are working towards and/or have a membership of appropriate Professional Accounting Body (i.e. CPA or CA), would be highly regarded. Full instruction and training in the use of SAP will be provided. A sound knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel) is required.You will be career focused, , enthusiastic, attentive with strong listening skills, eager to learn and grow, high attention to detail and must be highly organised.
